You can pick up the literature and the “walk” lists at the Democratic field office (102 Main, next to Sea Properties) at the following times:
Tuesday, October 6 from 10 to noon and 2 to 4, and Thursday, October 8 from 10 to 4, and Friday, October 9 from 10 to 4
BUT YOU DON’T HAVE TO WALK, YOU CAN DRIVE FROM STREET TO STREET, AND YOU CAN DO THE DROP THIS WEEK OR WEEKEND AT YOUR LEISURE.
The lists have been roughly divided into neighborhoods of 50 to 150 households. 50 households will probably take a couple of hours. If you take a bigger list, you can spread the drop out over several days.
You can drive to the neighborhood and then walk to the specific homes on one street, then drive to the next street, etc.. Leave the literature between the front and door and screen, if possible, or gently bend and put it around the door knob or in a gate or fence. DO NOT leave under the mat or in the mailbox. If you have rubber bands, it might be good to bring them along to secure the literature.
You do not need to talk to anyone. You will, however, have to count out the pieces of literature to match the number of households on your list. The literature and lists are in big boxes in the field office, and the literature has not yet been divided into packets. So plan to spend maybe 10 minutes at the field office preparing your own packet. Wear a mask in the office, please.
