Pre-Primary Convention

We have scheduled an in person convention for Saturday, February 12 at 1:00 pm at 102 Main St. T or C. Weather permitting, we will meet outside in the courtyard on the east side of Sea Properties. Please dress for the weather and wear a mask. We have 4 delegates to elect in addition to our Chair and Vice Chair, who are automatic delegates. The state Pre-Primary Convention  is scheduled for March 5 in Roswell. Zoom will be an option for attending the state convention for delegates who can’t or prefer not to attend in person, and voting will be done online. Votes determine which candidate is listed first on the ballot in contested primaries. We will also offer Zoom as an option for attending our February 12 convention. We will send out Zoom information in February.

Candidate petitions:

Stop in at Sea Properties. 108 Main, to sign nominating petitions for Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Lt. Governor Howie Morales, and Congressional candidate Gabe Vasquez if you have not already signed. The office is typically open 9-5 on weekdays and for a few mid-day hours on Saturday and Sunday.

You must be a registered Democrat in New Mexico to sign the nominating petitions and to vote in the pre-primary convention.

You must be registered in district 2 to sign Gabe’s petition. If you are unable to get into town to sign a petition, you can request one directly from steve@gabeforcongress.com . If you do it this way, make sure you get information on submitting it.
