News, Plans, and a Volunteer Needed

Our March meeting will be on March 16 at 5:30 at 405 Main, next to Grapes Gallery in T or C. We will have a report on the results of the state Pre-Primary Convention and a discussion of future plans including Fiesta, voter registration, and the campaign to turn Congressional District 2 Blue again. We ask that you wear a mask to the meeting. If you prefer to participate via Zoom,

Sign up for our mailing list to receive links. https://sierracountynewmexicodemocrats.org/2021/03/02/join-our-email-list/

We will post another meeting reminder closer to the date.

Our  current Treasurer is moving away in the near future. We owe him a debt of gratitude for dealing with an audit by the Secretary of State’s office, improving our record keeping and reporting, helping us understand and comply with campaign finance laws, and helping in many ways with last year’s art auction fundraiser.

We need a new Treasurer now to carry the party forward to the 2022 election. Please consider helping our party and joining our executive committee in this important role. Training and consultations with our State Party Treasurer are available, and once trained, the time commitment is usually 2-4 hours per month. Please contact sierracountydems@gmail.com to volunteer or request more information.

Laurie Ware has withdrawn her candidacy for state house district 49. An event in Magdalena this weekend for petition signings has been canceled.
