Candidates Forum

A public forum open to all the announced candidates running for Truth or Consequences City Commission has been set for Monday, January 27 at the Civic Center Auditorium, 400 W. 4th Street. Hosted by Sierra County Indivisible, the forum will introduce T or C voters to the large field of contenders (many of whom are political newcomers) vying to win one of three commission seats up for election on March 3. John Masterson, co-owner of the Truth or Consequences Brewing Company, will moderate the forum, which will be divided into Position 2, Position 4 and Position 5 segments. A well-respected entrepreneur, online publisher, and president of Main Street T or C, Masterson will ask the opening round of questions in each segment. Questions from the audience will be welcomed during the second round in each segment. Doors open at 6, the forum begins at 6:30, and there will be an opportunity to “meet and greet” the candidates after the forum’s conclusion.
