Voter Information

Important Deadlines for the 2022 General Election:

  • October 11: Voter registration (by mail or online) closes.
  • October 11: First day that absentee ballots can be mailed to voters who have submitted an absentee application, and first day of Early Voting at the county clerk’s offices.
  • October 22: Expanded Early Voting begins at alternate voting locations in counties that have them available.
  • November 3: Last day to request an absentee ballot.
  • November 5: Last day of early voting.
  • November 8: General Election Day.

Additional Voter Information:

You must be registered as member of a party to vote in that party’s primary. Same day voter registration is available, including the option for “decline to state,” independent, and minor party voters to register with a major party on primary day, vote in that party’s contest, and then re-register with their prior status.

Where to Vote:

To vote by mail, request your ballot well in advance of the election and return it in time to be counted.  You can apply online or print out an application and mail it.
